Splendour in the Mud

Splendiferous Times Everyone!
Nothing can compare to the come down after frying your brain on drugs, loud music and good times the day before you have to settle back down to the tedium of academic reality and old routine. But it was all worth it! (Even if you did lose a few shoes in the knee deep mud!) We chilled to the awesome sounds of Matisyahu, bopped along to an upbeat set from Death Cab for Cutie, rocked out to Youth Group, danced out asses off to The Grates, were impressed by the vintage sounds of You Am I, took in the majesty of Sonic Youth, got blown away by Mogwai, moshed out with the surprise act The Vines, basked in the aura of DJ Shadow, got our socks knocked off by TV on the Radio (one of my new favourite bands), picked up a good vibration from Brian Wilson, got down and dirty with the Scissor Sisters, and had a complete soundgasm with the Yeah Yeahs Yeahs! Woo yeah. All the happy campers included: Liam, Rico, Uncle Samwise, The Mullwagon, and new best friends Ellen, Ileen and Jo (Aka "The Fem"). The whole weekend was quite a blur and I am having trouble remembering quite a lot of what went down but the good-times-chilled-out-hippy vibe is still clinging to me like the mud (and slugs!!)in my shoes. Ahhh... its just a shame that i have to get back into uni mode to write a 30% assignment by next friday. eep.

The Mullwagon had to get towed. We really were just posing as 4 wheel drivers.
