We like to party!

Miskin St is suddenly looking pretty damn hard to compete with after Friday night's party extravanganza. Thank you to Renee, Mel, Steve, Andrew and Anton for an awesome night!

Hayley doesn't look too happy, but if you look closely you can see that Liam's having a good time!

But kissing Will isn't everything: Liam enjoying the company of two sexy ladies.

So many shenanigans, time to lye on the grass.

Cheers Mel! By the way: YOU ARE A SEXY CHICA!

Anton you are hot too!

Weekly Witchcraft

Mmm... there is nothing like the sweet taste of procrastination. Especially when you know you should be doing something more meaningful with your life rather than writing little messages to each other in internetland.

Anyway, my point is that I am concerned over the amount of power that gab wields over all of us. Her themes of the week seem to take on a life of their own and manage to infiltrate into our lives a lot more than you would initially think. Is she some sort of subtle sorcress? Or perhaps some sort of cunning pixie in disguise? Whatever the source of her power is, I find myself in a very vulnerable position: frontrow seats to suffer (or rejoice?) at the fate that the theme of the week imbues us with. I would hope that no-one should have to live through the same cheese-eating, brekky juice-consuming and undie stealing shenanigans that I have had to endure over the past week. I am petitioning her themed-greatness to, in future, enlighten us with slightly less scheming and devious themes for us to live out our week in. We still have another 2 days of subversive sabotage to endure, with a prime opportunity for sabotagic activites to occur, taking place tonight at Renee/Mel/Steve/Andrew/Antons housewarming... who will fall victim to this weeks cruel fate? and who will fall under the theme's spell and become a saboteur themselves? Watch your back partygoers, there is foul play afoot.

SABOTAGE

YO!
Theme of the week is...SABOTAGE.

I thought up this theme on the weekend, inspired by the idea of stealing all of Liam's undies and taking all Rick's shirts except the infamous Rick shirt (see left) which he isn't very fond of. BUt... before i knew it, the joke was on me. Liam sabotaged my cheese draw, Ezone deleted me from the uni system, making it impossible for me to save or send my work, and public transport continually let me down.
But i did have my fair share of sabotaging others. I ate all Liam's cheese and drank his brecky juice (much to his non-amusement). I also ate all Hayley's frozen bananas (sorry Hayley i know it makes you angry). I also thought it would be funny if i threw bottles at the library window where Brianna was sitting, but had to run away as the library man was shaking his fist at me menacingly. Finally, last night i sabotaged myself by going to a 'meet-up club' but being too scared to actually meet anyone and getting drunk instead.
Other sabotage incidents this week:

Steph was sabotaged by thailand when she got lost in a strange city with no accomodation.
I was sabotaged by Rick when he went to the pool and swam 2 k of freestyle without stopping: Rick, swimming is sposed to be my thing, you trumped me at my own game!

Angus was sabotaged by his SIX wisdom teeth, causing him to get chubby cheeks!

not to worry, next week promises a new and less hardcore theme

Transient times

Yo!

This is a tribute to everyone who has ever lived at Clarence Rd: YES THATS YOU DANA NBEESH, we're really interested to know if you are really running from the law.

One special person who lived here before she ran away to a brighter future in Uluru is Bonnie!

Hot Hot Bonnie.

you came from warwick where life went so slow
to brisbane where we lived together in this home,
but tired of the city you swapped us for a Rock,
Housekeeping in Uluru was your next stop.
But then you skipped the country to the land of Kiwis.
Where, ironically enough, you got a job packing kiwis.
Now we hear rumour you're soon coming home ?
You are always welcome in our student abode,

just thought we'd let you know.

(ps. you can sleep in my bed)

Other People who have at some point called our home their home include: Zoe (at least we got the rent in the end), Steph (thanks for the amazing cheese and spinach triangles), Mulherran (I'm sorry i stood on you all the time, you shouldn't have slept in the hall), Chris and Vassy (notorious for stinking out the bathroom), and Willi (how wholesome is Willi?!)
thanks guys for adding your pzaz to our place

The Residents

Yo!
Liam (aka Lithium): A brightly coloured 20 year old male who likes crosswords, cleans more than anyone else and enjoys the iron chef in his free time. Liam aspires to be a doctor and secretly (NOT ANYMORE) likes to paint . Liam basically likes everything i dislike. Can be found sitting on our front porch drinking wine from the bottle.

Rick (only ever known as Rick): he's 20, he's going to run a marathon, he sings and plays guitar. Occasionally he's mistaken for a criminal but not to worry he's growing his hair. Rick frequents the RE, but likes it better when its seedy and quiet. Can be found playing tetris in a room with no windows. Likes tea.

Gaby (also known as Skinny by some guy at the Straddie Bowls club, but thats another story): She feels UNCOMFORTABLE describing herself but is over it already. Gaby likes swimming and fetta cheese. Gaby makes sure the bills get paid but also likes to steal from her housemates. Could be described as a hypochondriac and a phony vegetarian. Occasionally she tries to learn guitar and then gives up again. Currently fighting an addiction to pokies.

Hayley (Haylos to those who know her well): Looks like an angel. In fact thats part of the reason she lives here. Mystefied by her angel eyes i drew her into my life an now she lives in the long room with just a few too many windows (only a sheet separates Rick and Hayley when they sleep). A proactive environmentalist type, Hayley may be known to some as the president of stuck in the mud club. Hayley likes: frozen bananas and dancing and chai tea. Watch out for love bites.

Better Than Miskin St.

Greetings to all who have intercepted our little corner of the internet!
Whether you have found your way here with intent or merely stumbled on in with a few stray clicks, welcome!
You may be wondering about the name of our blog.... it has to do with a certain house on a certain street in a certain suburb not to far away (http://eightyninemiskin.blogspot.com/). Not content to let them dwell in their internet-diary-spouting superiority we have vowed to speak up and start spreading inane little facts and titbits about our lives as well! For all to hear! Hurrah! So let the battle of the blogs begin as we scribe the goings-on in the world of Liam, Rick, Gab and Hayley at 35 Clarence Road.
